Floyd County’s 2019 Relay For Life with Stephanie Nichols

We are very excited to celebrate the 2019 Floyd County Relay for Life event this Friday, May 17th at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome, Georgia.  I sat down with Stephanie Nichols, the Office Manager of Maximum One Community Realty, to talk about her work as a volunteer for Relay for Life. Stephanie is part of the Planning Committee and has participated in this fundraiser for the American Cancer Society for over 10 year.  

Founded in 1913, the American Cancer Society is a voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer. You can find out more about them here:


Relay for Life is the largest fundraising event for the American Cancer Society and each year, more than 5,000 Relay for Life events take place in over twenty countries. With the funds raised in the communities resources are provided, such as:

  • The Cancer Helpline is a service provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help guide people through the cancer experience. Find support and information by calling 1-800-227-2345
  • The Road To Recovery Program matches cancer patients with volunteers who can provide transportation to and from treatment.

4:45 pm and 6:30 pm

Luminaria Ceremony: 10:00 pm
